Alex Dowsett Assumes Race Lead

SALT LAKE CITY - August 18, 2010 - The first stage of the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah, presented by Zions Bank, came down to a two man battle for the stage win between Team Fly V Australia's David Tanner and Trek-LIVESTRONG's Alex Dowsett. Tanner took the stage win, but it was Dowsett who pulled on the AT&T Leaders Jersey at the end of the day.

Salt Lake City – Javier Megias capped an impressive day for Team Type 1 Wednesday at the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah by winning the field sprint for third place on Stage 1.

Win to David Tanner of Fly V and Overall Lead to Trek Livestrong's Alex Dowsett

David Tanner rode to a two second margin of victory ahead of Alex Dowsett who finished second and in so doing into the overall lead of the race. Tanner is proving to be a major stage victory contender, after picking up his fifth season victory at the Tour of Utah’s Stage 1. The Australian outpaced breakaway companion Dowsett to claim the victory. Javier Megias (Team Type 1) picked up third place on the day. Dowsett also moved into the lead of the event’s King of the Mountain and Best Young Rider competitions.

(August 17, 2010)—The 2010 USA Cycling elections concluded on Aug. 15 with more than 2,000 USA Cycling members casting a vote for their respective Board of Trustees (BOT) which comprise the political structure of USA Cycling.  In all, 14 trustees were elected across five associations representing various stakeholders of USA Cycling. Nine Americans to Contest Worlds

Based on the current qualification regulations, the International Cycling Union (UCI) has established the list of the qualified countries, and their respective quotas of riders, in the Men Elite, Women Elite and Men Under 23 categories, for the road races at the 2010 UCI Road World Championships.

These Championships will be held in Melbourne, Australia, from 29th September to 3rd October.

Men Elite : art.9.2.010 of the UCI Constitution & Regulations

Men Under 23: art.9.2.012 of the UCI Constitution & Regulations.
Women Elite: art. 9.2.015 of the UCI Constitution & Regulations.

I am a 53 year old battered athlete. I have bad knees, a bum shoulder and tendonitis in my elbow just to list a few ailments that come from a lifetime of living pedal to the metal. I have had multiple surgeries and depend on braces in all shapes and styles to assist me in one form or another to be relatively supported and pain free. I have taped injuries and looked at the fancy tapes used by professional athletes with longing. Finally I had the opportunity to try this method by using KT Tape™.
